      <title>Beware the Demon Barber Sketch by Leona Preston</title>
      <description>He wants to steal your left shoe, dye your hair pink, stick a wad of cotton up your nose, send you down the happy slide ride&#8230; and gut you like a fig. Umm&#8230; fish! :p

Originally, this was one of the ideas I had for a comic cover (I&#8217;m so topsy-turvy, scribbling cover concepts instead of plotting properly). I liked the angle of Sweeney&#8217;s pose, so ended up sketching something in more detail. This might become something, I don&#8217;t know, might colour it, might not&#8230; you know how it is.

      <title>Polish 'Em Off by Leona Preston</title>
      <description>I recently challenged a fellow artist back on DA to draw Sweeney Todd in an anthropomorphic form, just for the heck of it. One catch however, I mentioned that I wouldn&#8217;t be doing a &#8216;Johnny Depp Sweeney&#8217;&#8230; Regardless of how much I like the new Tim Burton film, the Sweeney Todd that really sticks out in my mind is the one that features in the piece of literature written by Edward Lloyd, titled 'The String of Pearls'. His character in this most suits the way I personally view him; not as an emotionally motivated figure, but rather a cold, cunning, ruthless and downright scary fiend. Unfortunately, that element now seems to have been lost, and Sweeney is no longer seen as the diabolical &#8216;Jack the Ripper&#8217; type character. I had way too much fun on this sketch&#8230; but I fear I could never draw him sideways with that mop!

      <title>Frogs! by Leona Preston</title>
      <description>Let's delve into my character's scary past history&#8230;

Yolos spent most of his early years in a small, decaying monastery where he had been abandoned on the worn steps at a very young age. The monks of the monastery, peaceful yet set in their ways, had decided to take him in and raised him under their teachings and he seemed destined to lead their solitary, reclusive existence for the rest of his life. However, the monks soon found that Yolos had a taste for mischief and took great delight in playing pranks on his unfortunate &#8216;brothers&#8217; at every given opportunity. One prank, however, led to his expulsion from the only world he had ever known... :D
